I love this part of town, and especially enjoy Scotty's Landing just behind the marina. The food is good (not spectacular) but the view and atmosphere are awesome on a nice miami day.
I love Scotty's too. You feel like you're miles away from Miami yet you're right in the middle of the Grove. It's got a great view! And I love being near all the boats.
Gee, some never dream of having their own water-craft. Luxury items stacked sky high, that is what affluence and excess looks like. How much does it cost to go out for a weekend cruise? Loved the grove back in 1972 when i took a bus there to sell hand-painted tees with the hippies.
It's hard to imagine the Grove back then. I met someone who told me that Monty's was a little shack selling oysters and fish to the offshore guys who would come by looking for work back in the day. Seems like it's changed a lot.

I also like the fresh market up the road.
This is an awesome area. I like the little park with the boardwalk that's tucked behind Bayshore Dr.
Also, this is close to the rock church I took pics of a couple months ago...
